Happy Earth Day

This is a great link I would like to post for celebration of earth day from Spirituality and Practice.
And I can't help but post one of my favorite poems.

TREES by: Joyce Kilmer (1886-1918)

      I think that I shall never see
      A poem lovely as a tree.

      A tree whose hungry mouth is prest
      Against the earth's sweet flowing breast;

      A tree that looks at God all day,
      And lifts her leafy arms to pray;

      A tree that may in Summer wear
      A nest of robins in her hair;

      Upon whose bosom snow has lain;
      Who intimately lives with rain.

      Poems are made by fools like me,
      But only God can make a tree.

Believe it or not, this has always been my favorite poem. I learned it in grammar school and it has always been dear to my heart. Great choice. Happy Earth Day! Love, Marie

Some of the old standards that the nuns made us memorize are the best!
